What do you feel this course (UN100) should focus on? What do you need help in, specifically?
I feel like this course should focus on things like dealing with test anxiety, memorization and time management. Before a test I usually think I know everything and I can go over it in my head, but then when it comes to getting the test I get so anxious to start it right away I forget everything or I can't think of some of the things I just went over. I also have a hard time with retaining information. Once I take a test I forget all of the information I needed for that and move on to the next set of info. I also think its a good thing that we're reading FFN it's something interesting to add to all the other stuff were doing plus this gives me an excuse to read because I could never find the time to just sit down and read a book.

Hhaha, so true! I don't think I ever had time in college to read for pleasure unless it was assigned, good point. Glad you are enjoying it. I feel as if I am devoting too much time to FFN however, and need to focus back on UN100.
We are going to go into great detail on studying and retention of material plus test taking/anxiety which are all major obstacles. I know, I often wondered why Profs had you memorize material only to forget it 10 min. later. Seems pointless!

I also haven't read for pleasure since starting school. It's very difficult to find the time, I know how you feel.
